FAST FIRE ASSAYS
We are open for business during COVID.
Looking forward to another busy mining season at www.fireassayer.com
Gold and silver fire assays. 5 to 7 working days turnaround time is typical.
Fast, affordable, accurate numbers.
30 years experience. Hard rock, black sands, cons, native, sulfides, tellurides.
$35 Au/Ag assay, $30 Au only. $10 prep per sample if needed (jaw, dry, split, pulverize to the consistency of coarse flour, about 40 mesh) U.S. funds please. Your check, cash, or M.O. gladly accepted. Please note: I do only Au and Ag. I do not do PGMs or other elements. Thanks.
Black sands Au/Ag special $95: run in triplicate and averaged. This will give you a good idea of what you might have in a 55 gal. barrel. Please take a single representative core sample from your barrel of black sands. I will take three splits from it, fire them, and return values for each split plus the average. Saves you some money. Gives you tighter numbers.
When submitting a sample, please send about 60 to 100 grams (about 3/4 cup) of representative material with an ID #1, #2, 3, #4 etc. written on a piece of paper in each sample bag. I ask for a number in the baggie rather than writing on the baggie because it may smear. Please include your payment, with your name, address, a phone #, and your email address for results. Please PRINT legibly and double bag if your sample is wet. I ask for 60-100 grams just in case I need to rerun your sample should it not fuse well the first time. And if you take the time to call, please don't hang up without saying hi and leaving a message. I will call you back shortly. Be advised that you may hear a screening message when you call. Please ignore.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance?
Thanks much! Be safe.

A little about me.... I am a one man, old school, operation who can prep and fire about 12-16 samples in a 12 hour day. My business is designed to help the small miner who may not have the minimal number of samples or the budget to work with a larger commercial lab. I typically fire up my furnace on Tuesday and Friday. This allows a few days for small orders to accumulate in the lab so they can all be processed at one time to be profitable and make the best use of my time and equipment. However, if you have a lot of samples that need to be run quickly I will work 5 days a week to get your results.
I am Penn State educated but didn't really find my niche until I moved to Colorado to join a fledgling mining company in 1979. I was fortunate to be taken under the wing of 4 old masters who taught me everything they still remembered about geology, mining, milling, fire assaying, AAS, and chemical extraction. Under their guidance, I was allowed to help build a proprietary lab and perfect a technique for processing gold from telluride ores with a 98% recovery rate. I have worked in three commercial labs as an assayer and AA tech since my early days with my mentors, one proprietary lab, and as the in-house assayer for two mining companies.
I moved my assay equipment into my own building and offered my services to the general public in 2012. I have done work for about 300 clients from all over the western United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and Liberia and have a lot of satisfied repeat clients, and enjoy meeting and working with the folks in our field. If I can help you, please don't hesitate to drop an email or give a call. I answer all inquiries. Please see additional photos below. Thanks much!
Lawrence Hittle, your assayer.
